Shawn Gardner Vosburg Hollow Eagle Project

The Friends of Webster Trails shares the completion of two repair efforts at Vosburg Hollow.  Shawn Gardner of Troop 262 completed these repairs to fulfill the leadership requirement necessary to obtain eagle rank.

The first repair involved the bridge over Shipbuilders Creek.  Walkway planks were showing decay and the hand rail needed additional support.  Workers were able to replace planks and provide additional lumber to shore up the handrail.

The second repair involved the Vosburg Information Kiosk.  Carpenter bees had attacked the wood and one of the roof supports was missing.  Volunteers were able to resupport the roof and replace damaged wood.

A total of 17 volunteers spent 128 hours to support the project.  Shawn is a Senior at Webster Thomas High School.  He is interested in auto mechanics.
