Alan McBeth of Troop 215 marshalled a team of volunteers to build a bridge spanning nearly 60 feet over a muddy pass between Herman Road Forever Wild Forest and Whiting Road Nature Preserve Pink trail.
The bridge keeps walkers, runners, and bikers out of what could be knee-deep mud, preserving the habitat as well.
The project was for Alan’s Eagle Scout award, and he had mentoring from FWT scout coordinator Pat Fulkerson.
