Meeting Notes
- Charter – Preliminary charter approved, with stated purpose: The purpose of the Finance Committee is to support Friends of Webster Trails Board in fulfilling its responsibility to oversee the Organization’s financial strategy and performance and related matters.
- Budget proposal items.
- Dedicated grant funds from 2025 will be spent in 2026, and possibly extending into 2027 for ReTree grant.
- Income sources discussion. Expect income from memberships to increase slightly due to change in membership fees.
- Event income to be managed by Sarah.
- Trail Projects v. Trail Maintenance.
- Trail Projects – A project planned and completed by stewards, including workday projects and steward projects. Excludes projects to be completed by outside individuals and organizations, such as scouts and students.
- Trail Maintenance – Ad hoc work to repair or prevent damage to a trail, such as replacing individual decking boards.
- Trail maintenance funding reimbursement. Proposal to permit reimbursement for maintenance projects up to and including $100 without prior Board authorization.
- Action Items.
- Communication to Stewards about maintenance projects and reimbursements – Anna
- Tax exempt organizations – Chris to work with Pat F. for additional vendors and instructions
