Bird Sanctuary Trail
An easy trail along Mill Creek with a pond and bird-watching opportunities.

Charles E. Sexton Memorial Park
One of the most accessible trails, this paved mile of trail encircles the two ponds and the disc golf course, and links other popular trails.

Chiyoda Trail
Starting at the town Recreation Center, this easy one-mile, paved loop goes through forest and some wetlands, with some moderate slopes. It connects to the First Responders playground.

Finn Park Nature Trail
A moderate trail through a remnant beech forest along Shipbuilders Creek, leading to an easy trail around a meadow.

Four Mile Creek Preserve
Moderate trails along Four Mile and Salt Creeks through forest and wetlands. Several abandoned cars from more than 80 years ago make this a unique trail system.

Gosnell Big Woods Preserve
Easy and moderate trails through rare old-growth woods and meadow habitat for pedestrians only. The land bears signs of the last ice age and the effects of small streams that cut through the glacial till.

Herman Road Forever Wild Forest
This mature forest features a dense trail network of easy and intermediate trails and connects to the pink and orange trails in Whiting Road Nature Preserve.

Hickory Bark Trail
A short, accessible trail leading to a deck with benches. The trail is in an oasis, tucked between the retail corridor of Ridge Road and the 104 highway.

Hojack Trail
An easy, level trail extending five miles from Lake Road to Phillips Road. This corridor is ideal for recreation, exercise, and low-impact transportation through the town.

John Ungar & Michael A. Johnson Trails
These short, moderate trails off the Hojack Trail travel through a wooded area with a nearby stream. Enjoy a rest on a bench, far from the sounds of civilization.

Midnight Trail
A moderate trail through a mature beech forest, linking Whiting Road Nature Preserve and Webster Park. The open forest has towering beech and oak trees, plus a picnic area.

State Road Nature Preserve
A moderate one-mile loop from State Road through wetlands and woody areas along Four Mile Creek.

Vosburg Hollow Nature Trail
A short, moderate to challenging trail off the Hojack Trail. This hidden gem includes a section along an outflow of Shipbuilders Creek and is for pedestrians only.
