Hayden Woodworth Eagle Project – Sandbar Information Kiosk Installation
The Friends of Webster Trails announces the completion of an information kiosk at Sandbar Park. Hayden Woodworth of Troop 262 led the effort to fulfill boy scout eagle rank requirements. 25 volunteers spent of total of 174 hours to construct kiosk. The work was completed in Auguat 2016.
The biggest project challenge was digging the post holes. The kiosk was installed on the old Hojack rail bed. Mr. Stephen Padgett, Friends of Webster Trails Eagle Project Coordinator, noted that the items uncovered during excavation included: a motor, bricks, rocks, insulators, concrete, coal, and cinders.
Hayden Woodworth is a junior at Wester Thomas High School. His interests include competing in Science Olympiad and playing computer games.
