Friends has been the grateful recipient of nearly 100 collective years of service from four long-time volunteers who are at least partly hanging up their trail hats this year.
John Boettcher, Dennis Kuhn, Rich Morelle, and Larry Yost have spent countless hours on trail workdays, being trail stewards, making our iconic wooden trail signs, creating the FWT newsletter, and serving on the FWT Board, with Rich taking a turn as Board President.

They have led hikes, removed fallen trees, built trail infrastructure, and generally been ambassadors for our trails and preserves.
In all kinds of weather they have walked the trails, keeping an eye out for what could be made better and where some extra TLC would improve the trail experience, and so much more.

While Rich and Larry are retiring, you can still expect to see John and Dennis on the trails and at workdays and other FWT activities.
They’ve left their footprints on the trails, and a legacy of service and leadership.
Thank you for all you do and have done for Friends of Webster Trails and Webster’s preserves.
