Chainsaw Guys. What would we do without them?
I am steward for several of the trails in the 28 miles of trails that FWT maintains in Webster. Trees fall all the time. Sometimes they are small and can be taken care of with hand saws and a bit of time, but anything approaching a foot in diameter is too much. In addition, the tree may represent a tricky situation with a lot of tension built into the partially fallen timber.
Luckily we have a group of folks who have and know how to use chainsaws and diagnose the situation. For shorthand we call them the “Chainsaw Guys.”
I contacted them with regard to the fallen tree in the lead photo of this post, and the next day the problem was fixed (see below photo).

How often do we have trees down? I would say at least a few every week and many more following a storm.
If you see a tree down on the trails, send an email to contact@webstertrails.org
Perhaps you thought the town does this clearing. Nope, most times it’s the Chainsaw Guys.
