Chris Kowalski of BSA Troop 163 completed this project as part of his Eagle Scout rank advancement in October 2015. The bridge is situated on the Gosnell Big Woods Preserve Red Trail. The trail can be accessed from the parking lot located where Vosburg Road The bridge was repaired after removing the broken parts from the original structure. An improved foundation at the west end of the bridge, some new decking and new hand rails were what was needed to safely cross the creek once again.
