Vosburg Hollow South Boardwalk Replacement
The Friends of Webster Trails announces the replacement of the South Boardwalk at the Vosburg Hollow Preserve. Derek Sahrle of Troop 363 completed this project to fulfill the leadership requirement for Eagle Scout rank advancement. The work was completed in April, 2016.
The former boardwalk was installed on natural logs. As the logs decayed, the boardwalk tended to sag and thus needed replacement. The old boardwalk was removed and replaced with pressure treated wood installed on concrete blocks. Twenty six volunteers worked 112 hours to complete this project.
