Webster is fortunate to have miles of trails. Nearly 30 miles at last count, in fact.

But we’re not done yet.
Last fall, Stewards Norma Platt and Ben Wisniewski saw an opportunity to add a linking trail in the Michael A. Johnson Preserve with a new loop opportunity for walkers. The only problem: lots and lots of deadfall trees blocking the way. And we mean LOTS.
The solution was right in our name: Friends.
FWT happens to have some good friends who are certified experts with chainsaws, and once the snow and ice cleared, they got to work.
There is still more to be done, but now the trail builders can access the space to do it. Watch for the completion later this season.
