Herman Road Forever Wild Forest

Town acquires new open space

Last week the Town Board approved the purchase of a 27.8-acre parcel, located at 760 Herman Road, for the creation of the Herman Road Forever Wild Forest.

The town received an award of $270,089 to purchase the property from Gary Wood. The remaining funding for the parcel came from Webster resident Mary Dombovy as a memorial to her late husband Michael A. Johnson. Ms. Dombovy also provided funds to cover improvements to the property.

The Town Board expressed its thanks and appreciation to Gary E. Wood, Mary Dombovy, and her late husband Michael A. Johnson for their conservation efforts in the town.
